Blogging engine trends

Currently, there a lot of choices in the marketplace for blogging engines, but how can we compare the popularity and relevance of them? There is a handy tool available via Google - Google Trends, it analyzes the relevance of termr across timeline. The results are surprising: Livejournal is waining in its popularity, Movable Type is stuck way below, Wordpress use is exploding and Blogger is kind of flat.
